Prices for the Birdsville Races are for up to 4 nights accommodation and are per tent (The Birdsville Races are held on 4th & 5th September 2015 but there are activities happening throughout race week in Birdsville. Tent City will be available from 3rd to 7th September) , price does not change if you stay for a shorter time.
Price includes tent, stretcher beds, mattresses and an LED lantern, set up and packed up for you. You can add extra items, such as, sleeping bag with cotton liner and pillow combo, quality linen, and chairs.

The Birdsville Races Rent a Tent City is located on the edge of the Birdsville Billabong, Burt Street Birdsville and will be clearly marked.
It is behind the Birdsville Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre and only 100 metres from the Birdsville Bakery (perfect for breakfast) and 200 metres from the Birdsville Hotel. The Birdsville Racetrack is 3km from town and regular shuttle buses run between town and the racecourse on Friday and Saturday.
Hot showers and clean toilets are provided exclusively for Rent a Tent City patrons. There will be a small marquee with basic camp kitchen facilities, such as a kettle, toaster, gas stove, and complimentary coffee and tea as well as power to recharge your electronic equipment such as laptops and mobile phones.
Desert Edge tours would like to offers fly in punters to the Birdsville races a shuttle service from the airport to your Tent City accommodation.
The cost is $10pp and we will pick you and your luggage up from the airport. Desert Edge vehicles will be in and out of the airport on a regular basis. Mobile phones are not reliable over the races so the best option is to flag down a vehicle when you see it or pre book a pick up time by calling 0419 364 381
